With Christmas fast approaching some of us might like an opportunity to shed a pound or two to make way for an extra helping of Christmas pudding.
Come along to such a chance and join our December volunteering session starting at 10am on Wednesday the 20th (a week tomorrow) at Foots Cray Meadows. We will be continuing with the removal of bramble and nettles from the area to allow bluebells to bloom in the spring. This is a work in progress and part of the Volunteering Woodland Management program. Your help with this will be very welcome.
If you are free from 10 o'clock for about 2hours we would be pleased to see you. Sturdy footwear and gardening gloves will be needed (we may be able to supply gloves) as well as clothing suitable for outdoor work, possibly in drizzly weather.
We will meet at the Information Centre at 10 o'clock to pick up the hand tools.
Information centre address for those who don't already know it:

From Rectory Lane Car Park follow the path past the brown gates, continue until just beyond the green barred gate across the
path and the centre is round to the left)
e mail ffcm06@gmail.com, or message through this website to confirm your attendance or just turn up.
NB please look at the updated notice boards around the meadows, showing you some of the things to look out for during the winter.
Best wishes,
Friends of Foots Cray Meadows
